18 NE - Go on, ride when it's wet

Thread title too controversial? I'll delete and rename if so but boy what a 'thing' this has become. Living in a place that gets 45+" of precip a year doesn't leave you with a lot of options.

Around here we ride when we want to. Who's going to tell us not to?

If you're not riding in the wet, you're not going to do much riding in the Northeast.

    thank you sire.

Carrabassett Nemba just added a grooming drag to 'Sprockets' this week. Sprockets is the snow dog unit purchased recently, the riding was all time last weekend and this new addition should make the frozen ribbons more user friendly. Heading back up tomorrow to ride for the weekend, skiing blows right now

Thinking of hitting Otis this Saturday...anyone been there lately? It drains well, but not sure how well.

Iíve visiting Boston friends this weekend and we have a Wompatuck ride planned Saturday. If anything will be kinda dry itís the South Shore and the Cape. Weíre optimistic but a little wet is fine on those trails.

Please don't ride in Northfield Vt when it's wet. I'm out on the trails frequently, work at the trail head and I will tell you to gtfo if you come here to ride when official networks with trailhub are closed.

Stoked for single track. New trails as of last fall. More coming on the east side this spring. As soon as the "snow" is gone wood gnomes get busy.

Sometimes early spring is some of the driest riding....up on the ridge, draining fast is an understatement.
Tech flow on May 4th 2015...2 months or so from now.

^^Heh I knew that would get you Sure there are some spots so don't go to them but, for the most part, if you have to wait for it to dry out you'd only be riding a few days a month in most of the northeast. #bringbackthedrought

Yup I've got a spot near me that dries within hours, I'll hopefully be there this afternoon.

Trying to get a feel for this years preference re: tire size. 2.3-2.6-2.8-3.0? I've really taken to appreciating 2.8<>3.0 but I'm slow and don't like climbing so don't mind dragging some extra rubber weight.

Easy troll on that topic. I'll add our "Flow" trail that the above single track ends at the top of. 900 vert, no pedaling. Tons of climbing.....grumpy locals. Best to just to go to Perry Hill.

Out this morning at 8 for a ride here in Western Mass. Some nice and dry and some started softening around 10ish.

Still sucks to be riding in 50F in February.

18 NE - Go on, ride when it's wet

Got up at 4:30 to roll down to MA to see some old friends, ride some favorites and sip some brews for 36 hours. Trails were mysteriously dry today at Wompatuck and it was gooooood.

Isn't the like button when the same pic gets quoted 3 or 4 times on the same page?

Shitty rain and sloppy trails = 1.5 hours on the trainer, 30 minutes on the rower. Ugh.

I know it's worthwhile in the end, but that makes me hate it no less during the moment.

It's actually a more accurate like button. Clicking the stupid thumbs up takes no effort/thought... quoting something and replying actually takes a few seconds.
