    Impressive guys.

Few guys I follow on Strava did it. One guy did DK200 earlier this year, absolute animal.

Buttah, what are some of the better gravel rides in VT? Overland, Rasputitsa, what else?

18 NE - Go on, ride when it's wet

    Thanks y’all!
The Ranger is excellent. West Hill Grind, in Putney is savage. That’s like 3rd week in September. That Cabot ride up north looks good on the 9th. But I’m signed up for the Dirty Pizza in Alstead, NH. It’s ten miles from the house and it rules. The guy that puts it on is a hammer and an artisan bread maker. His outdoor pizza pavilion was built by Bensonwood, from Walpole. The pizza is redonk! So many choices. Including dessert pizza!
Custard and dark chocolate. Oh man.

Couple of more in October. I’ve done the Forest Fondo it’s excellent. Perfect time of year to ride.

Edit:Official results have me at 3:12 and change. I’ll take it!

All the overland talk and VTF's ride over Braintree made me want to test my new toytec suspension so I headed there.

Of course he did! He’s a New Hampshire guy now, lives up near North Conway. Still fully sponsored by Cannondale, and just as mellow as ever.

Man, I gotta get myself a gravel bike this winter. Gravel rides/races sound x100000 better than crits and the like.

That's cool and I've ridden that cart path to the lookout 4 times as well.

Jedi A drove to Chicago 5 weeks ago for a week of crit racing, crashed and broke his shoulder. Wasn't setting so had it pinned and still in a sling and missed the Overland as a result.

I passed out a bunch of stickers that were well received

Start was nice, a young girl sang the anthem, there was a cannon shot [really just a very loud blown tire with two minutes to liftoff]. Lots of folks cheering along the way, tons of sketchy looking skid marks, a group of us were cooking down a hill and a teen was standing at the end of his driveway with a 120 lb unleashed dog that was darting out and after riders= skids and 3 or 4 water bottle road mines on every fast downhill corner. Feeling good this morning except for the shitty heatwave forecast this week.

Had a blast at the VO yesterday, finished at 3:08. Super excited to catch up with Buttah, even more exciting was ripping past all the roadies on the DH Pave segments cause it was easier to just skim over/ air over the stuff. Was kinda funny actually (then they all killed me on the flats.) Good times. Could not get enough tacos in me at the end though! I got really worried that my sprained ankle would slow me down, but it only swelled up about 7 miles to the end. Not bad overall. Oh, and got to meet the man, myth, legend himself; Tinker Juarez! Can't wait for the Redemption gravel century saturday up in the NEK!

I was deep in the pain cave, when you came by. Kind of a lonely, desolate stretch. And then I saw the pink and black MTB! Called out his TGR handle and he slowed down and said hey, fist bump and he was on his way! Finishing strong is the way, I wish I could figure out how to do it. Nice catching up afterwards. Pretty much a perfect day, especially for a new venue. Dirty Pizza is next for me. And then the West Hill Grinder in Putney.

Two new trails just went in between Hurricane mtn road and Cranmore and another machine built dh trail is almost ready to go. They've gotten approval to build and open some very non-IMBA stuff that is incredible and are warming the resort up to running the lifts in the summer. Cool.to see and hear about all the progress up there.

Nice view and beer from the Meister hut. Shitty dirt road climb though, pedaling Kettle Ridge up is way easier.

After a quick lap today amid day-before-school insanity, I met a fellow who is one year away from retirement. He was "practicing" for that with a month off driving his piiiiimpy Mercedes Sprinter from state park campground and trail network to state park/trails. Living the dream. Someday.

Anyone riding Carrabassett Valley this weekend? I'm visiting the mother in law the Augusta and am debating making the 70 mile schlep over there Saturday AM if the wife gives me the kitchen pass.

Ahh, the dream ending back to school bell tolling. You had a good run and now it's back to the school racing, so all is good.

Ah shit, I've been up here all month but heading back to the coast for a paddling trip this weekend. Moar Maine Surf and Turf.

If anyone who's ridden in Carrabassett Valley is interested in giving feedback on the scene CV Trails is running a survey, take a whack at it if yer so inclined

Next yr there should be a NE mtn bike thread and then a NE road weenie thread for all those skinny sally tires, on dirt or not. I never see pics of "gravel", so where is that name coming from anyway!
