    the usa is falling both the decline of rome and England is so many ways, too bad people never learn from the past; but i'll leave it there as to take it any further would probably make it a polyass thread in non-polyass board.

    America's always beena shitty country to be poor in. Fortunately it's been the easiest country to get wealthy in for a long time. Is that going away? Maybe so.

    The guy in the article goes too far imo, profit is not the motivating factor for everything even in the US. However the "unfettered capitalism" it often seems we're heading towards needs some fetters. Stock markets don't have consciences.
