^^^ Benny: today was as good, if not better than, the day you & I skied. Pow halfway to my knees. Remember all those tree runs over on Moonlight that we were looking at ? That's what I skied all day today. Where are you ? Get back up here !

I had a ton of fun skiing with you. Don't be a stranger.

I don't think you could top this story just as it is. Your ascent from crusty curmudgeon to "Maggot of the Month" is already one this years more bizarre tales. Maybe if we could get you, DD and DSM to Magic Mt., that might be something even Kissinger would be proud of.

No doubt. Sometimes paying retail for powder is something you just have to do. It's cheaper than heli time.

^ or Jimmy Carter, if we want the pure of soul.

I would have gladly chipped in the extra $10 so Benny could have skied. Seems a shame to miss that, but thanks for saving me some. (Maybe you really are ok?! )

There you go. Now you can get even cheaper by doing the mom-and-pop ski area tour up to Great Divide near Helena, which has been getting pounded, then down to Discovery ski area near Philipsburg, which has a very worthy steep backside. Pretty sure both mountains are under $50 a day. If you can only do one hit Disco.

On the bucket list. By the time I get there, it will probably be $65 to ski there. But I may be more than one year older when I do...
