it's 20 years from the last all star games at coors field. I looked it up, Griffey and thome did the HR contest and neither had 20 HR's total. Can you imagine what those two would have done with the current format of just stand there and swing for the fences for several minutes instead of getting out like it used to be ?

Yeah, that would have been a hell of a show.

“Hey Bryce Harper, can you see signs from center?”

    “No, definitely not.”

“Cool. Cool. I know a guy who could.”

    “Um, good for them?”

Why the fuck are they not pitching kimbrel? Gave Sale one inning. Does Hinch just hate the Sox or something?

It's understandable about Sale, they had a lot of pitchers and most of them only got an inning. I don't get why no Kimbrel but it's just as well, the team won and he he might as well get the rest.

Perhaps Hinch can't stand watching a guy who pitches like a baboon?

Certainly hadn't heard his name for a long time. He's having his best year since 2011, which until now was his best year by far. Contract year?

I relly kind of hate to admit that I don't mind A-Rod as a color guy . He knows a lot, he's enthusiastic and well-spoken, I'm having a hard time hating him.

I'm actually kind of with you on A-Rod as a color guy.

Cora was just on NESN, turns out Kimbrel asked Hinch not to pitch him if he didn't need him, he wanted to save his arm for games that count.

I mean, I don’t know why we should let something as weak as “facts” get in the way of a good grudge.

Good. I want his arm as fresh as it can be down the stretch.

ha, I know, right? Cora was actually super complementary to Hinch, thanking him for only pitching Sale for 1 even though he only threw 9 pitches, and saying Hinch called him personally to thank him for the attitude and professionalism of the Sox players...dammit.

How many guys do you really need to unroll a tarp? 20 seems excessive.

Just ups the odds that one of them trips and gets all rolled up. So we’ve got that going for us.

Mookie’s scolding the pitcher to HR was great.

Yessir we are live! Best seats I’ve had in ages, since they won. Brown t shirt, no haircuts and with Mrs Jupiter in the pink Sox hat on the first base side.
