I think a Sox-Braves WS would be pretty fun to watch.

Sox running away with this. Let’s hope they keep this magic in the post season. Going to be a lot of pressure.

When was the last time a team was 50 games back 3/4 of the way through the season?

Can we start talking magic numbers yet?

    OFFICIAL 2018 MLB THREAD

Gregorious to DL with Judge and Sanchez = 2,3,4 out now.

Can't wait to get these guys back a couple weeks before October and then bump Verlander and the ‘Stros out before moving deeper into the fall.

Seems like Judge might be going the wrong way? I bet he gets back though. It's kinda funny, my wife is a Yankees fan (just to bother me it seems sometimes, but she does come by it honestly, her Dad was from NYC and played for the city HS championship in Yankee Stadium, had a cup of coffee in the Yanks farm system way back in the day and was a lifelong diehard fan until he died 2 months ago at 90) and she was saying they need to fire Boone. I was like wtf, they're hurt, and they're 30 games over .500, yeesh. Sure the Sox are on a historic pace but the Yanks in the playoffs with a healthy team? It ain't over until etc.

boone has given away so many games. awful bullpen management and he keeps putting the wrong names in the lineup. people loved to complain about girardi (and other nerds in the FO) but he always outperformed their expected record. now we have a dumb jock and it’s tough to see what he does well outside of not being the last guy.

well I'm hardly a fan, and I'm sure they could do better, but they have the second-best record in baseball with a beat-up lineup and some weird magic going on up in the Bean, I dunno. Haven't been exposed to much about his decisions I'm watching another team most nights.

the guy has only been doing the job for a few months so hopefully he'll improve but I don't really understand handing the reins of a world championship caliber team to a rookie. just a weird move when your franchise is worth billions of dollars and a lot of people want to pay money to watch you win.
