Showalter is kind of a turd sandwich, but I agree that the O’s are getting the shaft right now. Camden is a great place to see a game.

Edwin Diaz first closer to save all four games of a four game series since 2004.
    http://www.espn.com.au/mlb/story/_/i...d-sweep-astros
Diaz now has 46 saves and has struck out 100 in 59 innings.

The AL West is getting interesting.

No runs all day then a pinch hit, walk-off granny. Pretty epic way to win a game.

The whole game was great from a Cubs fan perspective. Winning on the last strike with an ultimate slam was awesome (pretty sure every house within 100 yards heard me yell "YESSSS!!!!!!") but for me it was just gravy. The more significant thing was seeing Hamels performance in the duel with Scherzer. I still don't believe the Cubs have World Series level pitching but at least now with Hamels I can visualize them being competitive in the NL pennant series. So far, Hamels has thrown 18 innings over three wins and only given up two earned runs and four walks. Pretty damn good considering the Cubs acquired him for a dented can of beans. If only there was some way to just take Darvish and Chatwood out behind the barn and shoot them. Then maybe the Cubs could afford Hamels $20M price tag.

Ok, now you guys can resume talking about the AL.

there is Bill Murray in the bottom right corner.

wheels are coming off for the Astros now.

injuries and have lost 4 in a row with the rockies, A's and M's next on the schedule; the Astros could be sitting at home if they A's and M's pass them with them 2 and 4 and 1/2 back.

M's suck, no way they ride this lucky streak into October.

The Astros are hurt and Trout is hurt. They can make up ground in that division.

Seems like Brock's getting his mojo back for real.

Holt, not Landers. Landers never lost his.

These guys are calling the game, supposedly they pay attention but inevitably when they get hit they don't move a muscle. Are the pitches too fast for them to process? then why the fuck are they umps?
