The Sox are most definitely not teeing off tonight.

It takes a historic performance to slow down the Sox.

Going to a Rays game today so I figured I’d rock the home team gear.

A fan who taunted Justin Verlander and the Astros with the not very creative but common slam 'you suck' was surprised with a response from the Houston Astros pitcher (who has had a pretty good past few months): A scribbled message on a paper sign.

    "No," it read. "You suck."

Well congrats to Jenny Cavnar. You rock! She was in the past forced into play by play for at least one game I saw (drew had to leave or something) and she was good. Knows what the fuck is up and at the risk of sounding un-woke, marry me!!!

the yanks are almost able to run out their best offense right now and sit at the top of mlb with runs scored even with stanton under the mendoza line. it’s been really fun watching them start to hit.

Sox coming back to earth a bit, it was to be expected but man that was fun. Nice outing by Porcello though, and a decent late rally, their heads are still in it. Kimbrel giving up the walkoff after a sharp stint by Kelly late hurt. A lot.

Yeah she's a pretty good announcer now, although it took a while for her to grow on me. Of course the trolls had their say, good on the Rox for punching back: https://sports.yahoo.com/rockies-fig...192913602.html

it does seem a little wack but that's the original name.

I've decided to believe that it's named for the Ortiz jersey that got built into Yankee stadium.

    Isn't Jersey mostly all Mets?

Other than a Bullpen that is walking too many batters, the Braves are playing some really fine baseball with a very young club.

Looks like Dave Roberts reached his ceiling pretty quickly as a big league. Never liked how he managed pitchers, anyway.

Current Yanks Astro series proves the old adage, pitching beats hitting in time. Verlander pitching a gem. A master.

    OFFICIAL 2018 MLB THREAD

Yankees pitching outlasts the ‘stros. Last 3 innings, 8 strikeouts. Betances has second good outing in a row, then the bats come through. This is turning into a good rivalry.

And the Braves bring up another new pitcher who goes 6 in his debut and shuts down the Mets.

    Albies/Acuna and now Soroko

Mookie Betts with a casual 3-3 with 3 HR in a Thursday day game after sitting out for a week with a bad hammy. Still probably one AB to go.
