I guess if you want to define your relationship with baseball through your hatred of the Yankees I'll take it, but if you want to accuse Yankee fans of being shittier facsimiles off your pink hatted Florida minions, I take offense sir.

    haha we'll see.

I was pretty amazed to hear the other day that the Sox have the #1 payroll in baseball and the Yanks are #7 - something is definitely not quite right with that.

It's not like whoever is playing the Yankees is my favorite baseball team.

They're my second favorite baseball team.

A bunt in the 9th to beat the shift in a one hitter?

    Kosher?

    I say yes.

Yeah, if you shift on someone they should get to bunt. I think even in a no hitter that would be ok.

Yeah they're butt hurt. But I'm not going to get butthurt over their butthurt. Don't give a fuuuck

that story annoyed the fuck out of me (should be in the shit that annoys you thread). Even in a no-hitter it would be ok. You don't get to shift -- with the clear intent to affect the ability of a hitter to get a hit and especially an extra base hit -- and then get to complain when they try to hit in reaction to the shift. And FFS, it's not like someone trying to show you up while you're losing badly! The hitter was on the losing team, trying to start a rally.

Forget Stanton, let's hope the relief staff can start holding leads.

I don't expect you'll get to see your relievers trying to hold a lead tonight.
