The two that I really like are Blizzards zero-G 95 and BD Helio 95. Both are light and tour great. The Zero has a slightly stiffer trail and a snappier turn finish. BD has a great all around ski, very reliable and tours, skis and all around is a great set up.

They really need to make a subforum for these type of threads. Maybe they should call it, TECH TALK.

So, you want everyone to tell you the "best" ski without telling us anything about yourself and posting in the wrong forum (if it still really matters with the new posts feed on mobile app and desktop) and then you also want us to fuck off?

    Post, then smoke crack.
    No longer stuck.

I'm in an office actually thanks, but I believe you may be suffering from Early Onset Backcountry Dementia. I would suggest talking to a physician about your mental/ski selection dilemma, and would recommend Jason or Andy Dorais M.D., as they are both doctors and ski mountaineers.

Meh. There's so much bullshit on this forum that's barely ski-related anyway.

gimpy- I have been on the ZeroGs for a couple years. I like them and they are particularly good on firm, consistent snow. And they're stupid light. But if they were stolen and I needed to replace them, I'd probably look for something with slightly more tip rocker and a less stubby tip. I'd be willing to sacrifice some weight to do so. I find myself reaching for my fatter, rockered skis when I know I'll be dealing with inconsistent snow, even late in the spring. More thoughts on the ZeroGs here and in the comments.

I saw a video of a guys shredding 2x4s recently, it may work for you as you are also as stiff as a board.

U guys are too easy. I just posted here cuz it sees most traffic and the search function seems to not like me and I assume most like myself rarely ever visit the basement forums.

I'm on the volkl vwerks katanas and they are great skis, powder of course, but also firm steep couloirs, spring steep skiing, wind affected snow, mush

Best bc ski I've been on.

I prefer a damp ski when skiing steep terrain, and they are.

I really liked the Blizzard Scout for mountaineeeing. It's a little wider then you are looking for but did great in all conditions.
