Women's Alpine style AT boot? Scarpa Freedom SL or......?
Trying to upgrade the wife's boots to something a little more supportive/aggressive. She's currently on some Gea RS and she doesn't love them. Little too short and soft. She's not a super aggressive skier, but want's something more alpine-like while still being able to tour in them. She'll probably keep the Geas for long tours/hut trips, but use the alpine boots for inbounds/sidecountry/short tours. She has Wardens so they'll still work with whatever soles.
When I got to this point, I ended up with Freedom RS and like them for the intended purpose, but Scarpa only offers the Women's freedom in the SL. Wondering if the SL will just be too similar to the Gea RS? Are there any other boots that she should check out besides the Freedoms?
