    Kidde fire extinguishers with plastic handles
    Hazard:
    The fire extinguishers can become clogged or require excessive force to discharge and can fail to activate during a fire emergency. In addition, the nozzle can detach with enough force to pose an impact hazard.

    The two I have, have plastic handles but seem to be on the not-covered-by-recall list. Which is annoying....

    There are some they call pro models that have plastic handles but I guess the innards are ok.
    I had one that needed to be returned--thing is about 30 years old. I filled out the form online and a month or two later a new one shows up with instructions to return the old one in the box. Except the old one was bigger than the new one and doesn't fit in the box. I called and was told someone would be contacting me with instructions. that was 2 months ago. Pretty soon I'm going to see how well the old one works and throw the can away.
