Have a friend that just ordered a 33' Invincible cat. Never been on one, never fished off a cat, no idea how they ride or handle. He is a dentist.
Invincible look nice. Better look than Whirled Cat I think.
I am pretty sure this is one-

From what I hear, Cats track strange in following seas. Supposedly tricky to drive. Nice stable platform out on the water though.

These are pretty popular around here. I am sure these are a bit tougher to drive than a 40'+ Cat with quads.

    Calcutta 263-

Even they appear to have jumped into the 40+ ft market now too-

Two things on a cat that drive me nuts. When slow trolling or fishing, waves come under the hull in the opening between the hulls and "thump" the bottom of the boat. When at speed and making a turn, the weight transfers to the hull on the outside of the turn, and the boat lists away from the turn. So instead of leaning into the turn, it leans away from the turn. Unnerving at times.

Even that Freeman can’t make Jimmy Buffet smooth.

And that party at Koko’s boathouse? He’s STILL not invited!!!!

Thanks. Pretty stoked. Bought it in December. Couple bumps in the road (not with the boat) since then, but we finally got to to today.

27 on a 2 axle trailer. I would think that would be right at the max for a 2 axle, but I am not sure.
Maybe that is part of the story?

That thing looks nice. Twin 200's or 250's?

    Cool layout from the pics.

    Enjoy.

i'm always amazed at all the open bows on the east coast. we've taken enough green water on our tin can that i've been very happy to have a cuddy that drains off the sides.
    looks like a nice ride!

Yeah, that looks like a Hostar hydraulic trailer. I’ve launched/hauled 35’ lobster and sailboats with one. Plenty rugged.

Yeah, when I looked closer I saw the hydraulic arms. Makes sense. We don't have that stuff around here much. Just big ass forklifts and lots of blocking. That looks a lot easier.

I was just wondering about Freeman. I want to start researching all the brands a bit more and Freeman seemed interesting. I won't be buying anything on that level for a while. It is fun to look around on boat trader though. I've been watching some of those FL inlet videos too, and they're both highly entertaining and somewhat educational.

Nothing to do with that, but I'm drawn to this boat for some reason. Wellcraft 402

I won't be buying anything next year in fact. My father is semi-retired, and was saying he wants to get something next year. But something more along the lines of that 30 scarab I posted a few pages back. That one was MUCH less money than a Freeman or the above Wellcraft, although still a good chunk

I run a 36’ aluminum cat everyday. Tracks great in everything I’ve run it in, doesn’t particularly like going straight into chop bigger than 3’ but quarter it slightly and it’s butter.

Again that’s hull design, not inherent to cats generally. Low tunnel cats get that tunnel slap you’re talking about, I’ve never run a cat that had the listing away from turn that you’re talking about but I’ve only run a few 30’ black feather chilkat, 28’ ACI Lumacat, 34’ Armstrong and currently a 36’ ACI

Yeah that's the dealer's trailer, I didn't buy one. The boat's gonna live pretty much where you see it in the pics, it's a marina about a mile from here. It's in the water now and will be in one of their sheds in the winter. I figured I can always buy a trailer later if I need one.

How far did they tow it with that trailer? Must have been delivered on a big rig and then transferred to that one. Like I said, most of the marinas around here are much smaller scale than that, so I have never seen one of those. That big sling rig sure would be nice to have access to though.

About 60 miles or so. Not sure how it got to the dealer but probably on a big rig as you said. The manufacturer is about 650 or so miles away in North Carolina. Yeah that crane and the sling has come in handy a few times with my old boat and now again today
