    Easily spotted around these parts, they parade around on carbon gear (bikes or skis) sporting an over-developed sense of entitlement. Concentrations found at the lifts, at the Flow Trail, at the Alchemist or Hill Farmstead waiting in line for beer.

    this is almost getting into tech talk, but salvaging thrashed gear isn't just a ski bum look, it's says I don't need a new goretex jacket for big $$$. Duct tape is pretty easy but not very tech. For a few $$ more and some craftsmanship, gear can last a few more seasons. Saw this the other day. This Ryan rips pretty hard at Breck. The gin and tonic is an essential part of the process
