No indeed! That looks prime. If those conditions continue I will definitely get out on the water a day or 2. Thanks for posting that up!

No problemo. Thought that would be a useful linky if you did not already have it.

This is a great one for the upper Teton. It's focused on the duck blind for now but in summer its focused on the island hole below the lodge. You can tell when the hatches are on because you can see the risers and watch people fishing. Very useful for deciding if the slough is dry fly prime time or just too damn breezy to bother with.

I just put both of those in my favorites! Of course that wont help my work productivity but it sure will help my fishing motivation

ND - Thanks for the reminder to toss waders/rods in with the ski gear! Been above freezing in the Teton during the day?

Yeah. It's a warm ocean cycle so it flips back and forth. Last saturday, the Valley was mid-40s by 1pm. Two weeks ago it was -20 at sunrise and never broke 25 degrees all day. FYI, the water in the upper slough is the last to freeze. Open in the slough doesn't mean its open downstream.

    I was waiting for that!

Cant tell you how jealous I am that here I am talking about getting out in sub freezing conditions and you have the gall post pictures of the salt water.

    Nice work!

If you catch a fish without a flat brim, does it even count?

Jealous. I’m about over winter already.

Teleee- I’ll be ready. Salt can be worth an hour or two if the weather works. My boat is sleeping for a couple months so we’d have to grab J’s boat for floating. Lookin forward to tippin the brown water bottle.

Visiting in-laws in coloradbro, forgot the net. Steamboat ticket prices made for an easy decision to go fish. Apologies for shitty beverage choice, it was before noon and with MIL. Merry xmas you bastards.Click image for larger version.

The smaller, shallower holes below Ashton are a lot easier to deep nymph. Also, it is often warmer at midday over on the lower Henry's since you are out of the mountains.

It would have been warmer at the Hank. It was cold, like really damn cold. The weatherman, as usual got my hopes up with lies. That being said. Water was floated, beer and brown water was consumed and fishes were caught.

I can take it as well as I can dish it out, so I’m not worried about the shit talkers.
And I’m secure in my skiing. I dipped a few knees the other day. The fresh snow had me feeling frisky.

I’ll start a thread. Not planning on fishing for a few more weeks, and it won’t be for trout. I’ll tell Collin you said hi.
