Watch the HBO special if you really want to understand them.
Its very, very good.
I can say I had never heard them, and almost shut the TV off when it came on, was not a fan.

I’ve seen it. They’re the home town band here. First time I saw them was the day after we found out my wife was pregnant. So my kids first concert. That would be the Live Vol. 3 show.

What I got from the special was they are better people than musicians, very rare.
