Is there any chance a Miller Lite drinker enjoys himself at a wine tasting?
Miller Lite ---- Best lite beer there is by far. About to pop one open now.

What I do’nt get is the various flavors.
Like, they would say, “this sauvignon blank has lemongrass and kiwi notes.”
or “this malbec has a hint of graphite,” (wth???)
    “this chardonnay is buttery.”
    You get the idea.
Do they actually add that crap to the wine?

Think about hop flavors in beer, same thing. Different grapes grown in different regions will have different flavors.

KQ, care to chime in here on the quality of SE Washington wines? They are pretty good. L'ECole = basalty dirt tasting, but GOOD.

Did they have any Cabernet Franc at your wine tasting DSM? Cool history of that varietal and one of my favorites to eat with steak or just drink.

Merlot = not a favorite, but when blended with other varieties it's pretty good.

Table wine = cheap blend that the winery couldn't find a better use for.

Viticulture is a pretty cool science, splicing, pollenating, selection all to make a better tasting grape.

And, yes, I drink Miller Lite too.

Heh - "pretty good." Some of the best reds in the world come from KQ's neighborhood.

And, yes, I drink Miller Lite too.
High Life - the Champagne of beers. But only ice cold and in the summer.

Mint juleps have bourbon in them, so as a bourbon fan I'd rather he (meaning dsm) fuck off and move on to cosmopolitans.

I really like Charles Smith winery. Every wine I've had from them has been good. I personally like merlot and I like to have a bottle of Velvet Devil on hand most of the time.

I’ve been loving everything from Le ptit Paysan. Ian Brand is killing it.
Also, Sea Pearls, a Sauvignon Blanc from, Marlborough, is a go to, for crisp, mineral acidity. I like drinking wine.
    Go on now
