the 1st child who got married off and wasn't part of the JH ski trip now has her own mommy blog instagram. and her husband has a daddy blog instagram. and together they have a family blog instagram. and their entire life is for the cameras. it's kinda sad, but it's sadder to be the person who finds that content entertaining. ski family does seem to be having fun, but there is a lot to be said for just having fun and not having to broadcast it to the world in the most obnoxious way possible.

they clearly have enough money to pay more for the IKON pass. perfect case for raising the price to reduce crowds and make the same money.

16% of total skier visits being iconic at Jackson Hole isn't the most useful number, even if it's accurate for opening day until march 1. we all want to know what percentage of february skier days were ikon passholders. the concentrated use is difficult to manage, and we all know the february crowds were not simply the result of locals skiing too much (locals who pay $1500-$2200 for their passes). The rumor mill suggests that up to 50% of february visitors were ikon passholders, but the resort won't release the real number, because even if it isn't 50%, it's an embarassingly high percentage. also, I think the same amount will come next year too regardless of snow. everyone who didn't come to JH this february is going to have to come next year to fit in with their buddies and coworkers.

if Ikon is the way of the future and if it's a good business decision, fine, but JHMR is desperately trying to avoid honesty on crowding with that op-ed.
