I used my pass plenty this year, am not entitled to any credit, and just renewed for next year.

And then get all whiney that they couldn't ride a tiny gondola in the sky with it that barely existed back then.

And it is the same online price. $999. You get a $100 off with a Renewal. Last year they offered an additional $100 due to some pandemic or something.

Also, for those who do not read, TODAY is the last day to Renew. Prices go up on May 5th, which occurs at midnight. Don't post up tomorrow about not understanding how dates work.

IF you miss this, or are not renewing, PM me about the group which adjusts a few weeks later on the 18th (so buy by the 17th).

Except Benny. He whines too much about people whining. And JK, Benny you are always welcome. We need some grumps-n-gramps the crew.

Looks like I'm not going to get to 60 days this season--a few days short. (I still have more days than the last 2 seasons put together, because of getting hurt and then shit snow + pandemic.)

What's the over/under on how many will miss the cutoff? [and claim they didn't see the countdown timer on the home page]

I spent 4 days fighting with Affirm who is providing the payment plan as somehow another phone number got attached to my account. Even though I would confirm my phone number via 2 factor authentication, yada yada, I couldn't get through. After a couple calls to some call center at 1 855 423 3729 they were able to release the random phone number since all the other info matched. Not exactly confidence inspiring, but I sure like being able to pay over 6 months for $0 rather than the whole shebang at once... I'm not paying them interest or I wouldn't have done it, but with zero interest, why not?

Someone said with payment plan you can't use cc and have to do bank direct withdrawal. Is that true?

Sorta. You don't have to do direct withdrawal, that is optional.

I think if you want it paid automatically monthly, which I did as I'm sh*t at remembering to pay bills, then you have to do direct withdrawal.

I think their system is designed to have you fuck up and forget to pay. So I decided to forego the 2% cash back from the credit card and link a bank account. Note, too, that even after choosing the bank account option that you have to actively select "autopay". Again, they do not want you to actually make the payments correctly.

I think I'm just going to take the price hit and wait. It's no easy decision here in the PNW.

Glad I checked this afternoon. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Got an error message the first time I hit submit, and thought maybe I was just 1 of one million trying to buy an Ikon pass today. Fortunately all went well on the 2nd try. See you all at Big Sky in the Tram line next season. Or in the JHMR tram line. Or the 'bird Tram line.

Generally I agree with this but that’s not the case with these 0% financing companies. I’ll often take the free money and let my money earn the meager interest rate in my money market account. The only way these companies make money is by people screwing up and they hit them with big interest charges. Their websites and payment restrictions are designed for you to slip up.

No shit. And they closed down half of the hill access of Summit to build it. Been rough.

I bet that gondola has lines on it most of next winter, which is great cause that is 100s of people who won’t be in line on Summit.

Hey, send me a pm. It will only be about a $20 hit.

It was a sad attempt at sarcasm.

Except on days summit is running early and kt is delayed and everyone at squaw heads on over. Of course when the wind shuts down summit, everyone will be heading to kt (assuming the gondola can run in those same winds, it's not right on the crest, but I dunno). While I'm not 100% against it, I don't feel it's necessary and would certainly be happy if it were not being built. I think once people figure it out there will be some days it's nice to have, but it will change the way things get skied on certain days.

    Truth.

I feel like the only time I’d want that gondola is in May so I can lap Summit until it gets sticky and then head over to KT. But I doubt it will run late season. Who knows tho.

It’s another step tying those two places together that would have been better if they stayed separate. I feel for you AM devotees.
