Just in case you think conditions suck....
Maybe you just can't ski.

I can't imagine how many pairs of skis were mangled shooting that.
But whatever, that was bad ass
As always, the person doing the follow cam and/ or lead cam work crushes it as well.Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Dude is a BEAST. There is a behind the scenes video out there from his last Audi spot that indicates most if not all of this stuff is "legit" in that he actually skis the terrain for the duration of the shot. Editing is on point. Pretty sure we are not watching greenscreen /cgi.

I would ski stuff like that if my sponsors gave me all the free skis I want. All my sponsor gives me are pens with the name of a drug on them.

I want to know what base material is being used on those skis. I would be willing to bet it isn't your run of the mill sintered PTEX. Obviously they're still getting thrashed, but I would think it has to be something lower friction. PTEX doesn't slide like that, even on steep slickrock.
Also, that looks like skiing in Colorado, except without the risk of a 30 degree slope ripping out and burying your ass.

Candide is the man.
But its kind of disappointing to think the "progression" of skiing is towards shit fuck conditions and then to sliding on non-snow surfaces.Move upside and let the man go through...

For the haters saying cgi, just stop it. The only reason you'd be saying cgi, is because you entertain the idea you can ski like a superhero, if only on occasion. Candide is the best freeskier on the planet, and does shit like jump over rotating helo blades, boublebackflipping at 50mph to a flat landing, and crushing small planets under his massive brass balls. Ya, I'll admit it, man crush. But that's no cgi, pretenders

It’s not about hate, the dude is a phenomenal skier. There’s a shit ton of creative editing in this CAR COMMERCIAL and I’m pretty sure some of it is CGI. Really well done and really cool to see, just pretty sure they had fun making some extreme ideas appear to be a reality with the help of modern technology. At some point he skied everything in that video, the question is did they change the background?
