WTB: Quiver of one for a bud

5'10" 150 lbs east coast raised skier. Strong, good athlete. Haven't seen him ski, suspect he's bad by TGR standards, but near the top of the gaper class. Maybe goes 5-10 days per year. Keeps getting eaten alive by the PNW mank on his fully cambered slightly fat setup.

Looking for: 178-185 105-115mm underfoot. Rockered tip and tail. Camber underfoot. Prefer 2 mounts or less. I can usually solve that, but without a return policy here, I don't want a ski with 50 holes in it. Binders included are a plus. Trying to keep it cheap. $300 or less for the skis. $400 for the full setup. Stable and playful. You know, quiver of one.

    Ideal ski is like a 183 MVP or a 4frnt Kye 110 181
Also into: 179 RX, 182 GPO, Kartel 100+ (Interested in the current pair for sale) 181 or 186 maybe, Down TD, Folsom Completo, Moment PBJ (maybe a touch too skinny), Moment Bibby 184, Black Crows Corvus or Atris.

    Maybe even a Rocker 2 115 or 108, automatic 117 or 109, K2 shreditor 112, Line mordecai.

I think low tail rockered skis (belafonte, governor, freeride etc.) would eat him alive. I want these to be fairly easy to ski.

    Whatcha got?

This might be a good route to go. I have the 186 and could see it as a PNW quiver of one. Solid in a lot of areas, can bust crud pretty well considering that it isn’t demanding.

    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

184 Armada Declivity. One mount for Ion's (@-2 from recommend I think, 300 bsl).
    $200 + ship (sold flat)

186 Automatic 117 (first production year) with barons mounted on the line for 307. Repaired core shot on one ski and some topsheet chips. Well used but still has plenty of life left. $250 + ship

186 peacemaker. Not sure I want to sell mine just yet, but it would definitely fit the bill. It's not bad at anything--especially not at your buddy's weight.

If he happens to have a 316-318 bsl, let me know. I have axial 120s on there now. Only one mount. Skied 30-40 days. Slightly less than normal wear and tear.

You can get Rockr2 100s in 186 or 178 from Evo for $249.97 right now. New. Stupid easy and fun to ski, even in heavier snow. Surprisingly stable and damp. More so than something like a Soul 7.

You should know that a quiver of one is a fantasy.

Learning to ski mank is part of the game.

I have the corvus, and while its an awesome ski, I wouldnt call it playful or a quiver of one.

I also have the camox, and that is definitely a quiver of one. Playful and my go to for freeskiing and work (when im not busted)

Lib Tech makes rad skis, check them out!

I heard they aren't very good in egg-shell windcrust with branches poking through?
