    Thawing out my Lizard

29 degrees here in sunny FL this morning.
Woke up to the power out. It went out around 3 am.

My bearded dragon lives outside in a terrarium on our back covered pool area.
His heat lamps keep it from 70- 110 in his house. The temp read 30 this morning.

Once I remembered to check on him, he was in rough shape.
I had to bundle him up in my jacket, and then stick him in the car with the heat on full blast.
They are tough little bastards. He seems to be just fine.

Apparently lizards freeze all motion in the cold and just play dead. They call it bromation(sp???) Pretty cool, but I don't know how long he could have lasted.

    How's your lizard this morning?

I thought from the thread title that you had frozen your penis for some reason.

    He's a big one. That's how I roll.
He's about 2.5 feet long. Found him sunbathing on the road.
Somebody must have let him go. He crawled right up on my shoulder and drove home with me.

Kewl story. I have had a few iguanas years ago. I would let them outside once in a while but only in summer.

I have heard the BDs are the best ones to have.

Extra points if you pose a naked blond Barbie on Toothless - possible caption: "Drogan will eat your milkshake"

Or ..... Toothless on a toilet, captioned, " Game of Thunderthrones, biatches!!!"

    or ....

He's still thawing and you want to place a cold plastic doll on him? What the hell is the matter with you?

Definitely cool picking him up on the side of the road.

Lot of the reptiles up here in Maine just freeze solid in the winter. Course we don't have any lizards bearded or not.

So how did you thaw the crickets or whatever live bugs he eats?

Therapy lizard. Get it right. He eats super worms. Frozen or thawed, he doesn't seem to care.
