I heard shiffrin got so good with her dolphin turns she's going to be racing with the men.

She's a beast. I saw a comparison of her wins at 24 vs. LV at 24- LV had 5 and Mikaela had like 47 wins.

Been addicted to the Olympic Channel lately.

Surprisingly, my FL native kids are totally into X-C racing.

She maybe able to race with the Men on tech event like Slolom race, but speed Downhill events she still has a bit of time and improvement to be dominating even the women's event each week. Any of her turns though are good, if not great....

What is especially impressive about shiffrin is that she's only 22 even though she's 24.

I get it that your kids dig XC. On TV it’s pretty cool, more so Biathlon too. Crowd cheers the target hits, the extra lap is fun to watch, & often it’s not decided till the last targets are done.

    Hahnenkamm Saturday!!!!

Can we get this thread back on track? Specifically Tanner’s ghost and the epic size of dd’s soccer moms asses?

Nyman and Goldberg have been training well. Would be nice to see at least one American in the top 10

I always wanted to do biathlon.
I would take my daisy red rider out on my skis and set up cans for targets when I was younger. always seemed way more fun to me than standard xc

Bamboo shoots under the nails is more fun than XC. Trust me, I raced 4 years in H.S. We sucked, but it was better than wrestling, and it got me a trip to VT every weekend.

I love that my girls get into the race, I just worry that they might start to like Nascar too. That, and there is no way we are flying out west to go XC skiing, so I can't encourage it too much.

    Ha ha-
The comparison was current Mikaela vs. 24 year old LV. LV took her first WC podium at age 20, Mikaela at 16- she got a bit of a head start.

A destination vacation to an XC resort is awesome. I have done it and had a great time. If your kids love it, it would be a great family vacation.

Could be, but we live in FL. I get 4 days on snow at best. You can bet those 4 days will be spent going Mach Looney and taking unnecessary risks. Once my kids master going downhill, we can address going uphill.

If it were just me and my wife, I think that sounds like an amazing vacation. Plus, I barely ever get to wear full body spandex these days.
