The Soup Thread
I made root soup today.
I used a root veggie that was new to me: salsify. It’s a European plant in the daisy family with an edible root. Kinda like a parsnip. Cook it up like a turnip.
Roasted with carrots and garlic and onion and ginger and turmeric. Lotta roots there. I braised a bunch of celery and more onions and more garlic and more ginger and more turmeric. I added the green tops. I put it all in a pot with some bone broth and cooked it up more. Then I blended it with my sweet immersion blender.
It looks like baby shit. It’s delicious.

Can confirm OPs looks like baby shit.
Thai chicken noodle soup with panang curry and real coconut milk from the asian shop. Delicious with fresh cilantro.
