    Cyclocross Nationals

Anyone watch the races yesterday, either live or on youtube. Men's elite final was an awesome race. Wish they could all be like that.

Definitely great race on the men's side. Was rooting for Werner (local PA boy) and J-Pow

How about Katie effin' Compton? 14 straight national championships. How is that even possible?

Great racing, and fun to watch! I had hoped to make the trip across the desert to watch and compete, but the pending arrival of my daughter put an end to that... I was really amazed to watch the pros lap after lap hop barriers and up that short stair section. After laying down a full cross season this year, i was really amazed to see them perform at such a high technical level after they had to be redlining watts. simply amazing.

Looked really tough out there. Disappointed the livestream wasn't working for yesterday morning's races because I ride and race with the 15-16 winner. Last year he was sick at nats and was on like the back row at the start so it didn't go very well. This year they traveled a little more to get him points and he had a front row callup. Seems he rode off the front on lap 1 and had a feeling it would turn out that way the way he's been riding. Won a couple of our wed cx races outright and was on some cat 1/2 podiums.

I was hoping to see Ellen and Keough etc hang in there a little better but good for KFC on another one. Also the season isn't over for a lot of the pros, who are going to be going to europe now to race the rest of the world cup season and worlds which isn't until feb.

Family member was there coaching and racing. Said the conditions were completely spectacular.

From the coverage I saw, they were right. Proper cyclocross weather.

    Did he win?

Unreal considering what a cluster fuck that race is. If you aren't in the first 5 rows you are screwed.

Half the race got pulled after one lap? USAC takes that $50 entry fee and laughs. Fuck USAC

    Nice.
I was thinking with the conditions the way they were, a single speed belt drive would be the tool of choice.

Bummed to no longer be living in Louisville, used to be able to see Joe Creason park out my window. For years that was my typical spot to set up a makeshift cross course and practice.

Louisville has had some messy big time races. Looked like 2013 with no snow.
