New to Seattle - Looking for Touring Partners / Ski Buddies
I am new to Seattle. I relocated here from CA over this summer for work. I am looking for like minded individuals to tour or lap the Cascade resorts with.
Some info about me:
- I'm about to turn 30. Yikes
- I work full time, supervisor in construction industry, engineering background. Chances are, I work more than you and I'm not happy about it.
- I live in Seattle, in the favelas of Lower Queen Ann.
- I grew up skiing Squaw, spent the last few years skiing Mammoth. Currently have an Alpental pass. As long as Cascade resort ticket prices stay out of Vail/KSL territory, I will happy pay MSRP to ski elsewhere.
- I like to ski fast inbounds. I like to milk my turns in the backcountry.
- I have my AIARE 1. Most of my backcountry experience is on the east side or in Tahoe.
- Fitness wise, I spent my youth and college years playing polo a highly competitive level, but its been all downhill since then. I can hike and skin all day, I just won't be anywhere close to setting any records.
- I am interested all sorts of day tours and weekend trips a few hours from Seattle. I can drive.
- oh yea... my jacket is yellow/baby blue, my pants are purple. The color of my outwear is dependent on sale prices.
PM Me.
Thanks,

You and I are on parallel paths... swimming, engineering, fast resort skiing, cruisy touring.
Let's have a date at Alpental. Skiing Friday?

I'll ski with you. Mostly ski at Mission Ridge, but I make the rounds to Stevens Pass and Alpental too. I night ski at Stevens a bunch mid-week, good way to get some turns in while still grinding the 9-5

If you’re still interested in water polo, check out the Seattle Otters for Tues & Thurs eve practices. It’s a really fun community of players of varying abilities. I played with them for about 10 years until moving away from Seattle region a few years ago.

I'd be glad to try and avoid the crowds and get out and show you some touring stuff or just general raging around Alpental when I'm back from Valkyr Lodge in a few weeks.
Move upside and let the man go through...
