I'm really bewildered at the huge variety of bindings that look and function almost exactly like this.
that's all i can think of, but i'm sure there's something else...

It is lighter than a ssl 2.0 and looks to have adjustment range for bsl

Of course, I would never think of re-purposing a BMT 109 for inbounds, but I can visualize pulling an available touring binding to mount on a ski I might want to split time between deep (inbounds) powder and touring.

Low stack and low ramp have both found favor with me... though I'd say that ramp is more of an issue. Pintech system clamps? Wouldn't surprise me to see that from the conglomerates.

BMT... mag ACH rails his inbounds dozens of days per year... convinced me to get the 186 as an all-conditions touring stick. Quite capable for the weight class and suits the split you describe.

heheh. seriously though for a 1-riser-only race style binding 245 is a shit weight. (ok maybe not shit but not especially competitive)

Is it my desire to see something that’s Fooling me or is the heel going to slide back out of the way in the rail for flat mode?

The article is mostly about the price: 300 EUR for the Marker (vs. e.g. 500 EUR for the Dynafit Superlite)

The Marker weighs 40% more than the Superlite, yeah? Seems reasonable for the Superlite to cost 40% more.

From the link posted by LeeLau above, binding rotates 180* to achieve flat. Info in English in second photo.

I'm bummed because the last Marker pin binding I bought had 6 springs up front, this one only has 2!

    Will brakes be vaporware?

Hole pattern is 38mm wide, so likely not compatible with existing dyanfit hole patterns.

Looks like the purpose of these is to undercut Salomon and Dynafit prices.

    pshhhhh I don't want it if it's over 80g

The Marker binding super meh. The lightweight no featured/ minimally pin binding market has more goddamn options than alpine bindings with no real difference besides weight and anno between them.

Disclaimer, video shows nothing, new or old. Not even thinking about buying this binder. #miss

As someone who doesn't own any tech bindings, I'm just glad there are more and more (hopefully functional) entries so that eventually some make it to double super clearance.

Jesus. A few years ago everyone was bitching about dynafit and they were the only option and they sucked. Now everyone’s bitching about having too many options and how they’re all pretty much the same.

I guess there is no pleasing you

    No kidding.

Quite a bit cheaper then the Salomon/Atomic which brings prices down.

335g with brake (not the 490 that davidof at Pistehors said)

No or minimal boot heel-piece gap with some (4mm) rearward travel of the heelpiece so has quasi attributes of Tech 2.0 which should mean it will ski with less vagueness. I haven't seen it mounted and with a boot in it to check

Has some adjustability for different bsl's (15mm)

Looks nice and simple. Now if it is durable and as reliable as the Atomic/Salomon Mtn - IMO that is a big market.

Didin't realize that. That is interesting. Especially at the price. Does the heelpiece also slide when using lifters in uphill mode?
