I am going to talk to the above mentioned mechanic about one of these. A poor mans A6 or a snub-nose crown vic...fuck I like it! I went Subie a couple of years ago and part of my soul went somewhere. Being a ginger leaves me very little soul to work worth, hell I owe.

I recently got a new work rig. 2017 F150 XL Reg. The exterior rear pillar panel (?) right behind the door is plastic.

built their modern brand off a single engine not made in house and some of the most heinous electronics known to man outside of a housing rental? ftr, I had the 2.6L Mitsu 4G5 in my pre-Ford, Mazda pickup that got great gas mileage and was quite zippy for a truck. It's a shame that they were killed by the chicken tax, that was by far my favorite small pickup. Much better than my Ranger.

Every year August to November I drive trucks down river for the steelhead fishermen sometimes 3 different brands in 3hrs which promotes a fair amount of truck envy, fortunately the season ends and I come to the realization I already got a truck , but ime they are actually all pretty good

F-150's and some older Lincoln Continental's (can't remember the Mark number) are the exception to some really poorly made shit box's made in the middle 70's and not too distant past.
Perhaps they are finally correcting that stigma.
My cousin owns a Ford dealership and if not for all the issues they had he wouldn't be as wealthy from his service department. Service is a big money maker and to his credit he understood that when he purchased it in the late 70's
