    Tucker Sno-Cats

Story in the Seattle Times today about Tucker Sno-Cats. Mark Abma's Tucker is mentioned:
    https://www.seattletimes.com/busines...tain-retreats/

I haven't seen Abma's Tucker in his Instagram feed lately, so I hope it didn't break down.

There's a tour operator here that has a tucker he has used for years to access the base of his operations. Haven't seen it out yet this year. Quite the loud, slow, clanky ride in that old cab, but a really neat piece of history.

Nice coincidence....I was poking around the Flathead Valley Ski Education racing site today and stumbled in a history section. Not sure the connection with Tucker to them, but they had this article with lots of history on them. A good read of the history.

I used to drive a tucker back in the late 70s. There's one for sale up the road from me right now.

1st Cat I ever got to drive. The Patrol at PCMR had 2 of them, they were very well maintained and ran well. My 1st season (84/85) I was tasked with putting up trail signs all over the new Pioneer lift area.

    Fond memories.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Wilmot Mountain where I learned to ski ran a whole fleet of Tuckers until a few years ago when Vail bought them. Was always a hoot to see the old metal still clanking around.

Just remembered this one from my dad's slides. This was taken at Indian Mountain Air Force Station (radar installation) in Alaska. Photo is from winter 70-71. I believe this is a Thiokol cat.
