Looking to place these on a set of boots, anyone with beta? Love my Lupo’s, yet need DIN for some race skis.

Are those made for solid sole boots?
    Actually made by Vibram?
    Looks like a good product.

I retrofitted some boots with vibram soles. Watch your toe heights.

Do they end up too hi/low? Going on a plug that will need to be routered.

    Is that from Cast?
If boot is being planed, it will take those into account.
    No longer stuck.

What's wrong with the ISO 5355 Dalbello soles that screw right on?

    whats your source for those?
a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

a slight drift as opposed to a new thread.....

    1. The Dalbello rubber soles are super hard to come by.

    2. I came into a set of Grip Walks for Tecnica Cochise/mach1. I want to put them on my KR2s which have been previously planed for an aftermarket rubber sole which have worn out.

It looks like if I remove the mounting tabs on the plates and screw on I'll stay within ISO 5355 and they should work with my Sally 9xx's (pretty much on all my commonly used skis) if I pay attention to toe height settings. Might need a little epoxy/JBWeld filler at the back of the heel lug where the sole curve doesn't precisely match up with the curve of the plate.

I know this is not an indemnified or officially 'recommended' installation, but as long as I'm within standard - especially at the AFD this should be functionally OK, right?

One thing I liked about the Titans was the swap soles even tho I always used them with the tech/vibram feets.

Might be time to put the DIN soles on and use them as my back up alpine boots.

Remember do NOT use the GripWalk soles on the boots when routing the lugs. I address that in the links I posted.

I saw that comment and was little confused by it. I'm a bit of a dolt sometimes.....

When you say 'routing' is that the same thing as planing or is there another step? My lugs have been previously planed for Vibrams (Dalbellos I think) which have worn out at the heel and become thin underfoot. They were originally the same thickness as the GripWalks.

Did you change the thickness of the lugs between the old set of soles and the new ones? Sorry to be a maroon.

    Thanks.

If you are already usig vibrams or a replacable sole and you are jsut swapping to the GW, you should be OK.

For clarification, planing does the sole (bottom of the boot), routing does the top of the lug.

    Perfect. thank you.

Now I see where the top if the lugs were routed and the marks left behind are the exact thickness of the GW's.

Got 'em done. Probably won't bother with epoxy fuller at the heels. Pretty easy job with a Dremel.
