    Those other beers thread

Ayuh , perfect combination of hydration and alcohol for tournament play when you don’t want to go too far over center but need to stay loose…. Or something like that.

Gawd I haven’t flown anywhere in 6 years. Lol. Guess it’s about a buck an ounce for half-craft. Bleh.

    Those other beers thread

Here is a very good local Stout from Log Tavern Brewery in Milford, Pa. (peanut butter seems to be a new trend)

If anybody is familiar with Fiddlehead’s Hodad (a favorite)…..this offering is a very close 2nd.Click image for larger version.

Goddamn, I've never seen that in a can before. Best stout ever made by Sierra Nevada. Comes close to the Firestone Walker stouts (Parabola, I'm looking at you) at like 1/3 the price.

Yeah, I go to our little craft beer store and just tell the owner what I'm looking for in a beer and he tells me what to buy.

Mmmm mmmm mmm the Porter, Dark Lager and Stout game is strong this year. There's sooo many options all of a sudden, from nothing but IPAs the last 8 months to *boom*

Do dark beers make me look fat(ter)? because I've been drinking a lot of them

Who else has a beer advent calendar?

My at home consumption is typically trapist ales or cheap Swiss lagers.

Last couple years my wife has gone to the local beer shop to put together a mix and match case full of off the wall new school brews as an advent calendar.

Week one has been off to a good start with a couple different ipas (sour, east coast style, milkshake whatever that means), lambic, a pils and a porter. Each from a different country as well.

Standouts so far were the kvaszilla sour ipa from To Ol and the milkshake passion from La Debauche.

    Damn, solid work! Looks amazing.

Drinking this tonight. Tastes like an oud bruin that was finished in bourbon barrels. 10/10.
