    Those other beers thread

Wouldn't want to mess up the ipa and stout thread.

So this one is interesting. A smooth oak aged 10% abv ale. I'm liking it.

I found this stuff at my favorite liquor store back in the spring. It's my go-to, a tasty everyday beer. A buck each.

Speaking of Pils. I'm having a Barmen at Table Mtn Inn right now. It's been awhile since I've been here and had it. So nice.

Stopped at a brewery last week and noticed that Cream Ales are somehow back in fashion.

The last time I had one was when we stole a 30 pack of Gennie Cream Ale out of my buddy’s dad’s garage in high school.

    Yeah, it’s still garbage.

Had a couple of Bissel Bros lager's recently. Love how the head lingers and lingers. Beer is a good thing.

Possibly the worst ever is Sleeman Cream Ale. It just sounds disgusting, to say nothing of the taste.

jackstraw, how's that beer? I think I've seen it around but have never tried it.

my wife doesn't like lighter beers, hoppy beers, or beers that are too roasty/bitter like stouts. So that leaves the window of ambers, black ales, browns, and porters, for the most part. So I have learned to enjoy those more than I used to, because I always have to have something she likes in the fridge.

Telluride Face Down Brown has become a go to beer in my house, way more interesting than most browns. New Belgium 1554 is another regular.

A smooth tasty Belgian true to the style. One 4 per customer, likely to sell out today.

For all the incredible variety and wild flavors out there I've gravitated back to the more simple lagers. I do prefer ambers and browns over the stuff that's easier to see through though.

Bissell has become a cult. It's insane. The Swish release yesterday was nutty. People standing outside in line definitely did not get Swish. One guy I spoke with got there at 10 for an 11am opening and he said at least 100+ were already there before him. Swish is great, but not worth that line. Too many other options available just around the corner in Portland.

Into my 3rd one right now. Nice coffee color, nutty and chocolate goodness. Lightly spiced. Overall
