    From the label: "Lake Tahoe's premier Czech-style Lager. Crisp, refreshing, and clean."

    I dig how they embrace the Oxford comma in their can spiel. And I agree with their marketing. This is a clean and crisp pilsner that reminds me, a bit, of the stuff you actually get in the Czech Republic and Eastern Germany (Staropramen, Radeberger, Budvar, etc.). It has that bitter bite with just a hint of malt to even things out. While I'm primarily an IPA head, this was a solid brew and went well with a spicy dinner of quinoa, asparagus, potatoes, cauliflower, and homemade arugula-and-kale pesto.

    Sour Saison sounds interdasting.

    I filled a used white wine barrel with an experimental saison a couple weeks ago. Really looking forward to trying it.

    Had a beer yesterday that I probably haven't had in at least a decade: Ayinger Dunkel. Very tasty if you're in the mood for a malty, sweetish, but fairly light-bodied beer. Fairly cheap, too.

    ^ speaking of beers one hasn't had in a long time, I had me a Guinness Stout after a full day of summer lift-served skiing at Mammoth back in mid-June.
    I quaffed it down in about 3 pulls. Forgot how creamy and smooth it is.
    Made for a solid apres libation.
    Still have not visited the mecca (brewery in Ireland), though...

    A friend of mine is a food blogger and she's been in LA this week hanging out with Danny Trejo.

    He has a custom made cerveza for his chain of Taco restaurants.

    The tap at the restaurants is a machete!

    I have no idea how the beers are from the brewery that's making it (Lincoln Brewing) nor have I tried it, but Danny Trejo seems like a cool bloke and I like a lot of his work (acting)...

    That sounds awesome! I hope you enjoy how it turns out.

    The MBC sour saison had more emphasis on the ďsourĒ and less on the saison per my palette and experience with the styles.

    You know I thought I didnít like sours but I had one in the tasting room at Ommegang and it was surprisingly not awful

    We filled a keg off the barrel. INCREDIBLE TASTE. There are tart almost sour notes and a full on chardonnay flavor profile along with oak. Actually think it will be better the more we refill it and the wine flavor falls to allow the saison to also come thru. We took it to a local craft beer fest and several brewers were saying it was the best beer at the show.

    Also have a smaller bourbon barrel filled with a golden ale.
