Anyone else checking in?Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.

When I got it last year the antibiotics didn't make any difference for ~3 days then knocked it down pretty well. Seems like the cough stuck around for over a week, but they told me i was borderline hospital-bound full-on pneumonia, O2 sat was at 82% on room air when we first measured it. They wanted to give me a shot as well, I passed on that dance. If the antibiotics hadn't knocked it down I would have been kicking myself...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

"The flu" or influenza?
-

Influenza--as in high fever, dry cough, headache, muscle aches, severe lethargy--hard to get out of bed, can't stand bright lights? Should be over in a few days unless you get pneumonia and die. Unless you get pneumonia antibiotics won't help.
Or "flu"--as in wet cough, sore throat, low grade fever, stuffy head, runny nose, would rather stay in bed but can't? Over in weeks or longer, but you won't die and antibiotics won't help.
Bacterial pneumonia is possible but rarely passed around in the family.
What's with all these people posting sickness in the PR. Gimp Central jong.

Yeah, I'm on the rebound from that shit. At it's height, it was three straight days of non-stop shit-fuck, and no appetite, whatsoever. The sloooow road to normalcy can't end soon enough. The taste of snot gets really fucking old after a week.

Oh yeah, I got that flu 2 weeks ago, which then combined with a norovirus infection as well, it was pretty messy.
Opted to stay away from the antibiotics and seem to be doing better now.

Got my face hit with a hockey stick Wednesday morning and fucked my shit up. When to the hospital to get it cleaned up, and topical antibiotics for the lacerations in the nose, came down Thursday through Saturday with some sort of cold. Coming out of it today. Breathing is getting better in the nose, but still pretty sore from the stick to the face. I am convinced the stick incident and cold are related.

Pretty sure this is what my two girls have had for a week+. Oddly, I am ok so far. Mrs L2S has had this on again off again tooth ache that the dentist states is from a sinus infection. Poor girl has had it for 10+ days and wants to kill herself.
It really sucks for her.

After my recent bout with staphylococcal pneumonia (for which I got a vaccination against recently....post-infection), I am contemplating getting my first ever flu vaccine. Normally, I can be surrounded by people with whatever flu and either I never get it or if I do, it just lasts a couple days with minimal symptoms.
But this season....I dunno...thinking about the vaccine.

The flu just started up for me.
The usual felt bad this afternoon, an hour ago the diarrhea puking dry heaves started in.
Now its a head ache and weak feeling. I know anything I swallow will not stay long.
Interesting I just finished a seven day round of antibiotics for dental stuff.
Only place I have been away from home and around people was "The Dentist" Yesterday
Hope this is not of those deals that knocks me out.Own your fail. ~Jer~

I swear it’s the gym this time of yr. where I usually get sick. I am only swimming as of now so I hope to skip it this yr. but I’m sure the kids will screw me up.

I haven't been sick or had a cold in years. I was feeling just fine until Cruiser posted this message. Thanks a lot

Had it last week. Turned from a fever to a gnarly head cold. I needed the good drugs just to knock down the sinus congestion.
