Japow-WOW predicted best season in 40 years.

Hokkaido bamboo already covered, friends over there have been showing me shots and it looks like middle of Jan this early in the season. This trend is predicted to continue...

I feel sorry for any of you yanks that are only deciding to plan a trip now, I bet every Aussie and his dog has already snatched up the accommodation. Grateful I booked 6 weeks ago!For those clever enough I might see you over there.

So what's the scoop on this? Japan is like a combination of Wolf Creek and Steamboat but with much more consistent snow?

Sweet! Love seeing mags hit the conditions right. Rusutsu was my favorite place there even though I got lost in a white out at the top and ended up skiing off the backside requiring a hitch hike back. #nicestorybro

Lots of air bnb's around hakuba/myoko.
Not so much on hokkaido. Better off renting a car and staying in otaru and skiing kokusai/kiroro. Or Sapporo and teine. Or Furano and Furano.
Theres plenty of good info in other threads about how to do Japan.
