How is this different than skiing with any other iPhone?

This is kinda all phones though. Inside pocket next to chest usually solves most of this.

Or take a selfie while you are down with your broken leg in the trees.

Do you have to wear the same helmet and goggles forever for the the facial recognition to work? What about my cowboy ninja facemask?

It was dramatically worse with the 6s. I’ve had iPhones for 10 years, and taking a few photos in cold temps never caused them an issue. The 6s died almost immediately when I pulled it out in temps under 45. I’m hoping the glass body is an improvement. Otherwise it’s back to rubber banding a hand warmer to it and keeping a charger in my bag.

Yes, this is my experience with the iPhone 6s as well. I changed the battery in mine and the problem was solved. Seems like the stock battery from Apple is rock bottom quality.

I'm wondering how the iPhone X will hold up in the cold. My 6s was terrible in the cold before I swapped the battery. Also the I expect the facial recognition to fail when wearing goggles, buff and helmet, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Looking forward to getting it.

Instead of rubber banding the hand warm......try a toe warmer....they have the adhesive back and will stick to the back of a case.

I may need to look into that. What battery did you replace the OEM one with?

You can still enter in your passcode if facial recognition isn't working or isn't possible.

Or, you know, put your fucking phone away and go skiing. Isn't that what it's all about? Getting away from it all and enjoying the mountains? That other shit can wait.

Also, there is a nice 98.6 degree pocket that comes stock on humans, trying shoving it up there.

Good question, I just delivered it to a shop around the corner from our office before lunch and picked it up after. So I honestly don't know. But it solved the problem.

There was a known battery issue with the 6S (ones that were manufactured early on) that Apple would fix for free. There was an online tool where you could punch in your serial number to determine if you were eligible.

Mine would shut down when moderately cold, and wasn't in that batch.. but yeah, I just tend to keep it in an inside pocket....

    Ha.

Come to think of it women come equipment with 3 pockets, men only 1.

Now if a man is a giant fat ass and has cleavage, chances are he's already sweating by the time he makes it to the lift.
