    Base Grind needed?

Ive beat the shit out of my skis early season this year, and had to do a fair amount of P-tex work which is easy and straight forward for gouges and coreshots. But i also have a very small section of one of my skis where the base wasn't scratched/gouged, but instead was deformed and kind of rippled... so the base isnt actually cut, but it is fucked up, and i can notice a fairly large glide difference between the two skis.

Do i need a base grind for this? or is there some cheap McGuyvered option i can do in my garage? Does any of this make sense?

I'd wait until there's more snow to bother fixing base damage.
