All you are going to get hair brained ideas, for two reasons. 1. smart, easy and investment opportunities are not hard to fund, so pitching them to the masses is not necessary. 2. you would have to be really bold, or really stupid so openly share your exact investment model,the one thing that rapidly devalues good ideas, is everyone else having that same idea.

It was worth a shot. Ahh HA ! these are legit investments, and they do exist. The game is half won.

Take $25,000.00 of it and use that for pre-paid rent on a warehouse. Use some on a website. Get a dealers license.

Take $250,000.00 and go to the local Manheim auction.

Focus on $10,000.00, clean, Japanese cars, with low miles, clean carfax. Buy 20-25 of them.

Shouldn't be hard to make 3-4k per copy. 20 x 3,000.00= $60,000.00 profit. 30-60 day turn on the cars. More if you get hooked up with a lender.

Or go super gangster and do a buy here/pay here and lend the money yourself.

Or do what I do and try and make that much on 2 or 3 cars.

I looked at buying a ship (flagged and crewed out of some inexpensive country) but what freight could I haul that isn't locked up under some sort deal by commodities traders and their big shipping companies like Maersk ?

i think you could make money here. there is probably a need for shipping after the hurricanes. if you know anything about fishing you could buy boat and permit than lease it out for the season.
