Is rare groove hippy music? How about WWFM (check the app)? Or ska, waves 1-3? New wave? How about the warlocks? Or some "cosmic American music"? Swetto (sp?)? Afro Celtic sound system? Listening to any of the moontribe djs on SoundCloud makes me happy... is that hippy? Ellington's Afroeurasian eclipse.

Some interesting shit in here. Never considered Ukrainian artists before.
I saw A Tribe Called Red a couple months ago and they put on a hell of a show. Great mix of visual light show, video show, music and traditional dance. One standout thing for me was the fact that one of their dancers was a black dude. He fucking killed it in a full headdress, moccasins and traditional regalia. He danced the traditional dances step for step with legitimate members of various indigenous nations, and then traded the regalia with one of two white guys and broke down into a freestyle dance competition. There was no talk of cultural appropriation. Just a message of love, acceptance and appreciation of culture, whatever that culture may be. I can't think of many shows where so many people lingered behind making new friends and ushers had to shoo people out long after the lights came on.::.:..::::.::.:.::..::.
