I remember as a kid leaving my shoe out for Sinterklaas and getting a chocolate letter and pepernoten. We were told that if you didn't behave then Zwarte Piet would throw you in his bag and take you back to Spain, presumably to work. Eventually you would become a Zwarte Piet as well from all the chimney soot.

Yo-yo! It's Krampus time again or was in most of Europe (Dec. 5-6) but fear not, Munich will have another Krampus celebration on the 23rd!
