SoCal mags - San Gorgonio Peak
So I am headed to the Whale's Vagina (San Diego) in late December to visit the GF's fam and I am trying to figure out how to make some turns while I am there. I likely can't make the trip to Mammoth or anywhere further.
Has anyone skied Gorgonio and like to give me some info on those northern slide paths? I know all of this is highly dependent on snow and avalanche (?) danger, but a man can dream.
Thanks in advance.
They think I do not know a buttload of crap about the Gospel, but I do.

Don't twist your ankle on the talus, lol. La Nina year.
Check out Onion Valley for snow and an easier approach, without having to drive all the way to Mammoth.Last edited by 1000-oaks; 12-05-2017 at 08:52 PM.

Don't even think about it Gape.
Your city boy ass would get lost and eaten by a mountain lion.
The bunny slopes of Big Bear are more than you can handle but go there instead anyway.Hunting kicks ass.
Chicks dig Labs.
I'll keep my job, my money and my guns and you can keep the change.
From my cold dead hands.

It dry right now and will be when you get here
It’s a LOOOOONG slog in.
It’s closer to go to Onion Valley or even the Mammoth area when you figure the drive time verses hike time to snow
Sorry
Maybe try surfing or paddle boarding.
