10th Mountain Div. at Army Navy Game
The Army team uniforms for the Army vs Navy game are honoring the 10th Mountain Division. During WWII, the 10th Mountain Div. along with 99th Infantry (Seperate) and the First Special Service Force were all trained as mountaineering ski commando units. None ever used skis but the saw a lot of action in the mountains of Italy.

Those guys were the real deal. And a bunch of them jump started the us ski industry post-war.

My pop spent some time running through northern Italy with those units. Maybe it's why I ski.

Best friends Father was one of the original mountain guides who volunteered to join the 10th and teach basic skills to these men. He ended up loosing an arm to a German grenade in Italy but survived and was quite active with only one arm even working as ski patrol.

watched a few army games this year...having a good year. nice to watch the triple option and normal sized guys playing the game.
