It's not about the teeth, K9 jaws are very powerful, regardless of the dental work.

Police dogs are a good thing. If you're tackled and chomped on by a police dog you may be messed up but probably not shot, since the officer will be afraid to miss you and hit the dog.

Highway Patrol I know has a GSD that's a bomb sniffer, as was his previous dog, a lab. Both gentle playful dogs. (The current dog, who's about 2 years old has found at least one bomb which had to be defused. Now what mental aberration would cause someone to volunteer to be a bomb disposal officer I cannot begin to fathom.)

Millenia ago dogs struck a bargain with people--in exchange for doing our dirty or difficult work they get fed and sheltered and have a much longer chance of living to be old than a wild dog. It's been a pretty good deal for them and for us, and now that most dogs don't have to do a lick of work it's been a great deal. Like having a trust fund. I don't feel bad for a dog that has to do any kind of work--whether police work, war work, or something less dangerous, as long as the dog is not treated abusively. Police and military dogs have it a lot better than dogs bred for fighting or dogs just left alone outdoors on the end of a chain all day.

It wasn't evidence at all. Just a story. To continue the story--the current dog--Nero--plays off leash in the yard when the officer is working in the yard. When I walk by with my little yappy cockapoo the shepherd comes over to sniff and ignores the officers command (in German; the dog was raised in Germany) to come back. The dog's not aggressive at all.

As far as abusing dogs--I would contend that leaving a pampered, non working pooch home alone while you work all day is more cruel than anything a working dog--police or otherwise--has to do.

Obviously you've never been a dog. Try to see it from the dog's point of view. First, take off your clothes. Dogs don't have clothes. Now get down on all fours. Down on your elbows, butt up in the air. That's a down dog--sign of submission. Now lick your master's boots, or any other part that's handy. Are you getting it yet?

Or ask any prisoner if he'd rather be in solitary confinement or deployed in a war zone.

My gun dog loves the sound of control work in the morning.

Firework displays and shot guns too.

Mah gun dog ain't afraid he ain't abused

Your dog sits on his ass all day while u jerkoff ass up on the table top in the terrain park.

When u get home you and your gun dog share a family size lasagna. Then he watches you jerkoff into your ski goggles whilst you ass a Scott ski pole. Smith goggles probably

drawing attention to animal abuse by police

    You foolz.

No one has responded to my post noting that police abuse their spouses / significant others at much higher rates than the general public. What makes you think they treat their dogs any differently? If you are willing to hit your spouse, you should have no problem abusing a dog. I also never saw any replies to my point about how dogs that fail “training” are often unadoptable because they are so messed up from their failed “training”.

There are lots of videos online of the police shooting innocent civilian’s dogs. Lots of disturbing and fucked up videos of cops shooting dogs. I won’t post them here, but there is plenty of evidence of this. That alone is ample evidence of animal abuse by the police. There is also this gem from Indiana : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbc...1.html%3famp=y

Of course, the department determined the officer was not abusing his canine “partner”.

When a dog is killed in the line of duty the fact of the matter is that the dog was killed because it was placed into the position of being killed by his human officer / department. When did we as a society decide that any police department with a K-9 unit is justified in using dogs deputized as “officers” in a proxy war against those the police perceive as “criminals”??

DigitalDeath and I continue to dominate this conversation with our superior logic and reasoning. You bootlickers have all outed yourselves. Very weak efforts in here from bottom and middle tier posters thinking they can attack great posters like myself. Too many brainwashed fools.
