I realize you are joking (I think) but I want to clarify that this is not about me being elitist. The trespassing doesn’t bother me that much, it is the disrespect that these riders show, the disregard for my neighbors and their children who might be walking along the trails, biking slowly, etc. Eventually their frequent use of these trails will result in increased maintenance / repair costs for the neighborhood. That is why this issue bothers me.

I’d have way less of a problem with this if these people weren’t flying along the trails in a borderline reckless manner and if they stopped rutting up the trails after rain storms.

Yeah that’s the other thing that baffles me about this. The trails aren’t bad and have nice views but they are pretty boring flow / meadow skip type trails. The public trail actually offers more challenging terrain, although it is in much worse condition.

A lot of holes in the desert, and a lot of problems are buried in those holes. But you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of digging. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time? Pretty soon, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all fuckin' night.

Interdasting. I've got a pal who grew up in the KC neighborhood, parents still live there, and I probably ride those trails w/him once every few years or so. We've never sported fancy club bracelets and it's never been an issue. Maybe it's a more recent thing, or maybe the residents have all been too intimidated by the armadillos in our trousers. It’s private property. There are plenty of public trails around the area to ride. What happens when one of those guys eats shit, splits his knee open, and blames the HOA because they didn’t clear the rocks off the trail?
