This weekend is turning out pretty surreal. People everywhere but the skiing is top notch everywhere. Couldn’t ask for better conditions!
Officicial report was high tide with 5 ft swells, snorkels recommended haha. Makes a good story now, indeed. Also made me the “cool patient” at the hospital as all the non-snow sport people couldn’t believe what happened and I must’ve told the story to 4 doctors, 3 nurses, and anyone else who happened to read my file and find an excuse to come ask me “what exactly happened?” Click image for larger version.

Yes, it’s been awesome. But the line on Red is fucked. Why isn’t Black running?

Black ran on Saturday and Sunday.

Red was shredded on Thursday...always gets hammered. Lots of beaters slipping the steeps.

Best 4 days of skiing in a loooong time for me.

Evanb, I rode the lift with your dad today and heard all about your Black Line adventures. Glad you're ok.

Had so much fun keeping a watchful eye on the 3 amigos this weekend especially after Evans adventure. Also got to share a bunch of low angle woods with my 6yo. She was so excited, we had to get a trail map to circle all the woods she did🤙Click image for larger version.

Thanks, man. Not really the way I wanted to get known around here, but like we’ve been saying, it’s only a “good” story now because everything turned out fine.

Makimono asked me how the landing looked. "Fine"

It's been a while & my calculations did not figure in the upslope of the mono & Maki's ballz.

    Whoops.

Was bummed that I couldn't skip work on Thursday when conditions were at their most chesty, but the mountain was in great shape Saturday. I rode from open to close with one quick break to unload the morning's coffee and refill with milk stout. Even at the end of the day, turns in the trees were phenomenal. Glad to catch up with Fussy Dutchman, and get a few laps at the end of the day with MNIAW and Goniff when my spirit was willing, but the flesh a bit weak. Kudos to the whole Magic crew, the mountain keeps getting better every year. A special shout-out to DoWork for the best chair bump on the East coast before our last lap. As one salty curmudgeon in a different thread said, "Pro operation for sure."
Yeah? Well, you know, that's just, like, uh... your opinion, man.

Awesome to get a few hours in with you, been way too long and thanks for the cooler fillers.

Fantastic first trip to Magic, really great vibe and still plenty of leftovers were found. Too many meet ups to list (or remember) but great to finally meet Goniff and to see Aldo in the winter months instead of summer. Magicsnowboard, kid stoke is off the charts, definitely make some turns soon. DoWork, good to see you again and as others have said, you are killing it!

Special thanks to MNIAW and mrs. for being more than gracious hosts and showing me the goods!
