-17 at 6:30am. It's up to -12 at 8:15. Looks like I'll be heading out at the crack of noon.

Temp stayed steady at around 0 for some nice balmy conditions this PM. The snow was variable depending on aspect. Goniff's FTW!

I guess they just shut down for the day...massive snow loss, etc. Still another 10 hours or so of rain.

And I saw it will be back below zero again over the weekend.

It might be pretty ugly. [/captain obvious]

But there is a chance for some snow...and the BLT will be open, so all is not lost.

I skied in the monsoon this morning. Snowmaking trails skied very nicely and goretex worked as advertised.

Lots of green/brown showing through, especially on the steeper aspects. Going to be a tough weekend for the beancounters.

Great band tomorrow night at the BLT.

Let's just remember that MLK weekend of 14-15 was worse than this....

On the positive side, kind of ideal for ski racing! Should be 150 or so groms out there tomorrow on what will likely be the hardest track imaginable--what we had the kids on today was at least as boilerplate as when they inject or hose down a course (essentially it had been hosed down over the previous day).

Snowmaking going on and snow being pushed around...and I heard snow on the way this week.

Time to get this back on the first page.

Big thanks to DoWork and his crew for making chicken salad out of chicken shit. What was skiable on Monday skied great.

Snowing now and NWS showing 6-9" for Magic tonight into tomorrow. It won't open anything steep that doesn't have snowmaking for a base but the low angle east side trails should go fine. It's a first step toward recovery.

Magic Mt 17/18 We Clean-Up Nice!!!

I’m looking forward to skiing there on Saturday. I might even get Mrs Peruvian over for a “earn one/turn one” lap and a beer at the BLT (although I can’t recommend the chicken shit salad sandwich for lunch).

Whales we're breaching everywhere. Especially the one in the kids zone, uuuge. Chasing the groomer midday made for some fun soft turns. Our crew of groms grew by one this weekend. Hopefully the magic crew gets rewarded with some big snow for all their efforts. Raiseemmagic

It's good to see it wasn't like the last blowtorch event. I like all the new promotional work. The drone footage is cool. Nice to see things coming together, if only the weather would cooperate.

Well they’re still blowing and I still don’t have pics.

I do, however, have some frog skins with your name on them. Those pants are awesome!

As if most weekends aren’t a TGR mini already, the band line up Saturday is off the hook!

Saints and Liars from 4-7pm and The National Reserve from 8pm on.

Not according to Dave...and you know he knows everything there is to know about music. As for me (someone who has actually seen the Rev), I agree; nephew or illegitimate bastard offspring

There won't be any skin fitness laps Sunday morning after hours and hours of partying at the BLT this Saturday.
