Also, speaking of longboards -- The maggot-laden Magic Freedogger crew that won the 24h of Flatton last year is going back!!! We're going to defend our team overall win (and to see the looks on Team Flatton's faces when we do it again), and more importantly bring the SWEET fundraising trophy home to the Magic trophy case, where -- let's be honest -- it belongs. Please consider donating to our quest to help impoverished kids in SoVT and to unseat the Bogner-fartbag-clad evil empire from their fundraising throne.

    https://www.crowdrise.com/Magic-Moun...ers/fundraiser

I propose the following donation equation

    x = baseline donation
y = number of toes frostbitten on the team
z = average shade of black of said toes (1-10, 10 being vantablack)

    x(y) + y(z)= final donation

so if someone pledges $10, and you get 3 frozen toes that end up at an average of a 6 on the blackness scale, it would look like this:

    10(3) + 3(6)=
    30 + 18 = $48 donation

Seriously though, that event should be sponsored by Hottronics or something, sheesh.

P.S.- It's NUKING right now on the hill. Absolute pukage.

Hot damn it's deep out there!

It's a real shame there was no frozen base down before all this, as I'm sure the low angle stuff will ski well, but brave souls have reported back that even T Zone was bony and offered very little by way of rock buffering as soon as you made a harder turn. Lower carpet, Kinder etc. should be awesome though! I am getting so pumped to open this place up on Saturday!!

Can we get a roll call going? Who's coming for the festivities?? We've even got The Silks playing Saturday night, and they're a freakin AWESOME band.

Bummed that I can't make it . The Mrs is hosting a Christmas party at our house on Saturday, and apparently my attendance is required.

    See y'all after Xmas.

Will there be a P-tex demo to coincide with the ON3P demo?

I heard on3p bases were bomber, so I'm sure no ptex will be necessary.

Weren't all of the ON3P bases treated with Phantom? Making them impervious to rocks.

    Happy opening!!!

Unfortunately, my sister is flying in from Hawaii with her 3 year old twins. Her husband is currently serving in Afghanistan so she is traveling solo and needs as much support as possible. We will all be December 26.

Have a great time! And please inspect the carpet for mini MSB. She tried to ski it last Saturday (even tried to walk over to its location) but was confused when it wasn’t there. Luckily the pure of aw of meeting the one and only DoWork who makes the snow saved her session.

    She is super cute!

Also the first Magic powder skier of the season so there’s definitely GNAR points there!

DoWork and I don't always agree, but in this case he's spot on, 100% correct. Picking opening weekend at Magic for a demo is not the best decision that's been made regarding Magic in the last few years. Its not the worst (the Rangerzzzzz still top that list), but it's not the best. I wish I was able to be there tomorrow to see how thin Redline actually is and how ON3Ps ski on rocks, but one more weekend of my regular job before I can commit full time to being a weekend ski bum.
