Fuckers just voted to end Net Neutrality.

It seems nearly every tRump-appointed Agency head that pertains to public resources ( and public airwaves ARE a public resource) has been appointed to either slowly gut or make nearly useless that agency formed to administer said public resource agency. This guy Pei, head of the FCC, is no different than other tRump agency heads...he is a dismantler. No different than the head of the EPA and the head of the Dept of Interior.

Nearly every agency head decision in tbe tRump Administration had been to the deficit of the public good.

Fucker. What a heap of shit tRump and his swarm of locusts are. And what creeps his supporters are.

83 percent of Americans — including 3 out of 4 Republicans — opposed the plan.

    Fucking ridiculous.

Yep, the most recent version of corporations not giving a fuck about consumers and being enabled via Trump appointed insiders to push their agendas that ultimately increases their executive salaries.

The fallacy here is that this is still somehow a red vs. blue argument. It's not. @PNWBrit's stat proves this.

It's a corporate fuckery - which, if we're being honest, knows no political boundaries. They give no fucks. It's about maximizing profit and shareholder gain, not about which party.

My guess is that it's getting labeled as such given our current administration.

Let's stop calling it by party lines and call it what it is; hot fucking garbage.

On the individual level you might be right, but it was a party line vote at the FCC. ALL democrats in Congress oppose this, along with a whopping 5 republicans. Sorry if this is dragging this towards polyass but there's definitely a political element to this.

WTF?!!! When over 80% of the public doesn't support deregulating internet providers and politicians vote for corporations over the people, the system is completely fucked. Politicians don't even try to pretend to govern for the people anymore.

What's it take to move to Canada?

Somehow, someway, in small steps or large, we need to take an honest look at what we need and stop buying their shit. Literally and figuratively.

You can't blame the corporations. The corporations are doing what they're supposed to do, required by law to do--maximize return to their investors. It's the job of government (ie us) to look out for the interest of the public. It's not some right wingnut who says this; it's Robert Reich (Supercapitalism: The Transformation of Business, Democracy, and Everyday Life). Blame the politicians, blame the Supreme Court for Citizens United and other rulings that have allowed money to control politics, and most of all, blame us--for electing the bastards, for allowing the poor and the middle class to be divided by race, religion, "values" rather than united by the economic issues which should unite an overwhelming majority of us.

They are political appointees and it was a political decision. The 3 GOP-appointed commissioners voted to repeal Obama area net neutrality protection. The 2 Dem-appointed commissioners dissented. It was a political action. If a Dem were in the White House, the Obama era NN protections would have remained intact because the appointees would have been 3 Dem/2GOP. But Benghazi, emails, shrill voice, etc. so we're winning bigly.

However, today's vote was divided PRECISELY along party lines: the Dems being in favor of keeping Net Neutrality in place; and the Repugnants in favor of trashing it completely. So in the fucked up world of 2017, it IS political.

Comments I would make to the White House these days would probably get me a visit from the tRump SS (that is 'Secret Service', but 'Schutzstaffel' would perhaps be more apt).
