Glad to hear their "22m" radius doesn't catch up in chunder. These skis look more straight than some other 22m skis, and my sidecut radar was saying they'd probably ski straighter.

I'm regretting not trying the first gen 192 MFree 108s. I feel like I'm really missing out on a great ski, and the new Free 108s/112s seem different.

A lot of overlap with these MPros and the Sender Squads I also got this spring. Gonna be fun comparing them back to back, and see which I prefer next season.
If you want a pair of 1st Gen MFree 108s, I got a brand new in wrapper pair I'll let go for what I paid ($400) or I have a lightly used pair with one mount for STH2 that I'd let go for $350 with bindings. Was just in my garage and realized I got too many pairs of skis.

That being said, after I got a few days on the mpro 108, I find the speed limit hard to find. Most of the mank you can kinda just ride out. Still need more days on it to make a more definitive judgement, but I'd say it retains 30-40% of the playfulness of the mfree, and gains 30%ish in charge-ability. Less camber, shorter sidecut than the prorider, but the shorter sidecut weirdly doesn't catch up in the chunder as much as I thought it would. Really underrated ski in the shadow of the mfree.

HL 192 FL105 is a more modern 105LP. It’s better at everything than the LP.
Those percentage comparisons are pretty spot on by the way.

Yo, Aever/Betel, I have nothing to add to your inquiry of said skis other than that that the HL skis should never be overlooked by anybody in your category of skier. FL113 behaves really sweet..!

But, most of all, my warm welcome to you for being back in the community!

I've been in and out since then. I was posting under "Velomayniac" last year, but couldn't log back onto that account in April so created this one.

I haven't nuked a thread since I was 25yo, but ya, my bad for being a dingus back then. Some still think I'm a dingus, and I can't blame them, but nothing other than stoke this way now! I'm pretty sure you can find the old Moment thread on google still.

I want all the Heritage Lab skis. I already know I want 192 FR110, but they sold out. I've been looking at FR120 Swallowtail, FL113, R110, R105, R95 Comp, among others. I honestly don't know which ones I should get first.

Took MFree to TLine last Friday. The day’s mission called for a more maneuverable ski.

On the ride down the canyon at the end of the day, I was definitely missing the MPro. The Pro is just so composed at high speeds and handles the changing snow conditions from top to bottom so well. They carry a lot of speed when it gets sticky.

It won't stop him. This is a false sign. He just fell out of love with his MFree's because he got them tuned and then they weren't the same again. Some cute Moment's caught his eye and his fickle heart found a new love. Phatty is just dealing with a lot of emotion right now. He'll come to his senses when it gets cold again.

C'mon, I have 2 pair of MFrees and a set of MPro 192. I just counted and I have 15 pairs of skis, with 6 unmounted pairs. Just need to trim it down to 10ish pairs. The Commanders are the apple of my eye right now, but I expect the MFree to get a lot of play next year.

Those are rookie numbers. I know you can do better. Plus, next year is supposed to be a La Niña pattern and it might actually snow at Alpy. You’ll be back to that healthy mindset of “I need more skis” in no time.

I am looking forward to hearing about your MPro review, too.

    The Dynastar Thread

Anyone skied the new M-free 112 in the 190 length? The idea of a ski shaped similarly to the Sender 110 but with the M-Free core construction sounds interesting. Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else. Near impossible to find anything in this madhouse anymore.

also curious if anyone has had time on the mfree 112 and can compare it to the sender 110. I know on paper they're very similar but interested in the nuances.. im more interested in the 18x length tho

I asked the same question in the sender free thread and didn't get a response. I doubt anyone owns the new mfree but figured a handful have demod them

I never thought about putting the M-F112 atop a SF110 when I fondled a pair last winter in a shop, but I would not be terribly surprised if it is the same ski as the SF110 outside of graphics.

Kinda like the MF118 never had the same construction as MF108s, but was labeled as having it - or as having a hybrid construction, something they did have, if just regular sidewalls instead of the narrower versions' extended pu zones combined with a central wood strip/beam (aka without sidecut).

Still, the SF110 is great though and a good fit for those who wants something slightly more progressive mounting wise than the MF108 so the MF112 should be an instant winner.

Newschoolers has the M-Free 112 in their top 5 Powder Skis YT video for 2025 whatever that is worth. No mention of trying to sell me insurance during the video, so felt legit.

Evo put up some employee test thoughts on the 112 at the end of the season, never saw it show up here. It’s a sales pitch for sure, but fairly detailed and given that info on this ski is otherwise pretty sparse I’ll take what I can get.

Lo and behold, a sales pitch for MFree 112 from powder mag too! This one includes some explicit comparisons to SF110, plus MF112 profile shots:

Got access to the digital Blister Gear guide hoping to find something on the M-Free 112 and it’s not in the guide. Did anyone worth listening to ski these last spring!?! Lame.

Demo conditions were not ideal when I had the chance to ski these. It’s hard to give an honest take.

Why wasn’t the MPro 108 up to par for you? The Heritage Labs overshadowed them?
