    A 191cm, 112mm version of the menace 98. 2300-2400 g/ski..

That would be a one ski quiver for me.

Topped out at 186, but yeah, killer ski. Also called the Sixth Sense Huge. 32m side cut, moderately stiff, heavy, 115mm rocker tip and tail.

What would be the closest thing to that now? Rustler 11, Salomon Blank, Candide 3.0, anything else? I wanna make a list of skis like this.

the menace 98 kind of reminds me of a thinner gunsmoke/peacemaker

This years Candide 3.0 is the closest thing out there. 2350gs and has a very similar shape, however only a 23m radius.

It's going back to being lightweight next season.

Menace 98 renamed the Troublemaker 98 with that green foil holographic top sheet that came on the original would be a must buy for me.

I think I’d still just go with a WC118 over Candide.

I campaigned for a 19x length Huge Trouble at a couple of sales meetings, even asked on here, Biglines and NS if anyone would buy it. But hey what do I know?

I have had a bad time mounting -7 on park/all mountain twins before, where there's no support for my fat ass.

I'm using your response to gauge where I remount mine.

    The Dynastar Thread

I think they’re designed to ski well at either line or anywhere in between depending on your skiing style. The ski is stout so you can drive it hard at -7. I know I don’t want to ski backwards or spin and jib so I kept it more traditional with the mount point. Do what works for you.

Edit to add: Maybe I’m not as sensitive to mount point or I haven’t played around with mount points enough but I had a pair of these with demo bindings set at -7 and never once had the urge to move them. I like big stiff skis and keeping my shins in the front of my boots. I like to ski everywhere on the mountain except in the park. Even with several alternatives in the quiver, m98 is still my go to ski for springtime because it’s good on firm refrozen early and just as fun after it softens up. The mfree 108 is a close 2nd but it’s lacks the edge hold on the firm stuff.

I was just reading in the Blister gear guide, they say the 181 Menace 98 is more stable than the 182 Mfree108. I was surprised by that, but I probably shouldn't be.

Probably skied my last day at Loveland today and put the skis back on the wall…I like this collection, just wish I had mint race room 194 LP to replace my retired pair.

Yup very nice. I''ve never skied a race ski like that, want to try. Somewhere like Sun Valley.

They make hard pack days almost as fun as pow…the G forces from railing high edge angle, 2 footed carves is addicting. They are quite heavy, precise and unforgiving as Hell (abusive if you get lazy) but once you get over that you’ll look forward to hardpack. Spent more time on these this year due to the lack of snow.

That sounds fun. I always like skis with "fat race ski" characteristics, so I really owe it to myself to try actual race skis. I don't even know where to begin. I guess GS or SG? I like how my LP105s feel, that would be more like GS?

Mine ski more like my old 213 kastle super g than the 210 Dynastar Gs. However given the width and subtle rocker they are way easier to ski than either.

178 Cham 87 - My father’s ski, but I use it in the early season sometimes. Surprisingly stable, fun pocket rockets
187 Menace 98 - Park/All Mtn twin. Tied with 188 PBJ for favorite ski in this category. Nimble, stable, versatile
192 LP105 - Shredders. Huge, sweeping turns through any condition

Someone talk me into the MFree 118. I need a Powder ski that can handle any pow density, and I always liked Dynastars 5 point skis more than others for some reason on firm or variable. This thing is literally on the top of my list, but I’m also scurred it might suck in the mank. I know it will be great everywhere else, but I ski a lot of mank.

I’m wondering if I should have included one more sideways attachment?

Anyone interested in some 189 Cham 127’s that have been drilled once but never skied? My uncle in Utah has a pair he never used (and is too old for now). Let me know if there is any interest.

Posting for guidance...... I purchased a lot of NOS CR 74 fluid X 178s....for next to a tank of gas.... they were cheap bc someone at Rossi/Dynastar lost their clamps....

Thinking I should pull the plate & mount flat as they are basically a LP w a 16m radius.

Finding a fluid binder is another option- anyone have several?

    Thoughts?

Upgraded the quiver from circa 2010 to 2017. Speed Zone 12 may not be ideal, but the price was right (and they have orange bindings). Psyched to try them next season.

Dude those things absolutely rip. I do want, but I'm broke and need like 2-3 other skis to fill my quiver before any fun stuff
